“I stayed here on a rest day while hiking the Arizona Trail. The place is comfortable and definitely not like most standard hotels. There are a few plush common rooms. The rooms are well-maintained. I really liked the individual water containers in each room. Our room even had a kitchenette. Definitely pleasant memories of this trip.”

The rooms are okay—not fancy—but after a full day of birding, they do the job. The mattress is firm, the pillows are decent, and you get the rest you need. The bathroom is on the smaller side. The shower is just adequate—not something you’ll enjoy, but it works. What really stood out to me was practicality. As a birder and photographer, I need charging points—and this place delivers. Plenty of outlets, and importantly, right by the bed. That’s a big plus when you’re charging cameras and gear overnight. Location is a huge advantage. It’s very close to • Paton Center for Hummingbirds • And other key birding spots around Patagonia Being centrally located made everything easy. They have an on-site restaurant, which I appreciated. After a long day in the field, having access to a hot meal without driving around is a big win. No room service, but the restaurant covers what you need. One practical tip: If you’re carrying a lot of gear, ask for a ground-floor room—makes it much easier to roll luggage in and out as I didn’t see any elevators. Overall: Not a luxury stay, but comfortable, well-located, and birding-practical. Perfect for a short birding trip where you’re out most of the day and just need a reliable base.”

“We ate at the wild horse restaurant affiliated with the Steve stopped and the food was absolutely delicious. Not only that The surveys were more than generous, and we ended up saving half for dinner. Delicious! Highly recommend eating here.”
